Aurora Borealis or The Northern Lights
Growing up in Northern MN I remember seeing that green glow in the sky on occasion as a child. However, with all the sun spot activity in the last 7 years or so, they are becoming more frequently seen up north. I would love to watch one again, but for now, I have painted some of my favorite images of them from photos I have seen.
All works are on panel & finished with a very high gloss varnish. Very difficult to photograph correctly because of the glare back.
